Food Packaging Pilot Funding Program for PEI Companies
The Food Island Partnership is the coordinator for this program. One of the key mandates of this industry led group is to support the growth of food companies in the province. The funding partners for the project are the PEI Department of Agriculture & Fisheries, Agriculture & AgriFood Canada, and NRC IRAP.
Deadline to apply is Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Applications received by December 1, will be evaluated by a review committee based on their fit with the program and availability of funds. If all funds are not allocated after the initial intake, a second call for applications may be announced.
Financial contribution: Each approved company will receive funding of 80% of the project cost to a maximum of $15,000 project (i.e., 80% of $15,000 = $12,000 contribution). If the project budget exceeds $15,000, the company is required to secure other required funds before a project receives final approval to proceed.
